This was meant to be like every other extraction mission CIA field operative, Brian Heaves had carried out before: get the asset, move fast, and be gone before anyone noticed.
But someone noticed before they even began.
When the operation is blown from deep within the Agency, Brian finds himself alone — cut off from his team, running through Europe with a mathematics professor whose work could determine the future of AI governance, and hunted by a Russian intelligence network that knows his route, his safe houses, and his face.
Someone handed them everything.
Now Brian must do what burned operatives do — improvise, survive, and get the asset out through whatever door is still open. But the Russians have made a decision on this one: if they can’t have the professor, no one will.
